The Octagon museum
In partnership with I Was Here, the Architects Foundation will initiate a National Chautauqua focusing on the role architects can play to reconfigure the broken citizenship created by enslavement.
The Architects Foundation is also launching a new initiative, Parallel Histories Hidden in Plain Sight to commemorate the lives of the enslaved people who built and worked at The Octagon. Through this work, they will reveal the primary role enslaved craftspeople played in creating the architectural canon nationally.
